Why Apply AI?

Learn AI by newsletter

People hear and talk about AI, but only a fraction are using it every day. OpenAI’s ChatGPT has 200 million active users per month. Assume that 400 million people are using some form of AI today. That means less than 10% of the 5.5 billion internet users are using AI. We’re a few years away from mass adoption on the scale of YouTube or Facebook.

The goal of Apply AI is to speed up adoption by showing you how to use AI one day at a time. I write tips for general users, not just the tech savvy. You don’t need to watch hours of online courses or go back to school to learn AI unless you’re changing careers. You learned how to use a smartphone one app at a time and you used it everyday until it became a habit.

In the newsletter, I will send you short, practical AI tips several times a week to try. You might not use every idea, but my goal is to share a few that become an important part of your life.

Who is the Apply AI newsletter for?

You hear the buzz about AI, but still aren’t using the tools on a daily basis. You’ve dabbled with ChatGPT and didn’t see the value or put it off as something you would learn later. You don’t care about AI news or the latest startups. You know AI is important and you hear that it’s useful, but you’re busy with work and family. You don’t want to fall behind or miss useful trends. You want to know how AI applies to your life in short, simple terms.

What to expect from Apply AI?

3 emails a week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) with simple and practical ways to use AI in under 5 minutes. You will get a mix of personal and professional tips. I will adjust the areas of focus based on reader engagement and feedback.

To use my suggestions, you may need to create accounts with different providers. Most solutions have a free tier or trial period. I will mention when it’s worth upgrading.

Who is the author?

I was born and raised in Silicon Valley. I was most recently an executive at a late-stage tech startup, so I’m immersed in tech culture. I was one of those busy people who didn’t jump on ChatGPT 3 in the first 6 months. I have since spent 100s of hours using ChatGPT and alternatives.

I use AI for many parts of my businesses, including coding, content, and images. I’ve been traveling the world for the last few years. I use AI to make travel plans and study languages. I rarely use Google Search anymore.

It takes time to see the full benefits of AI tools, but Apply AI is a support system to get you there. It’s the resource I wish I had when I started.
